Jebki Fm
Type Locality and Naming
It was named by the Joint Stratigraphical Team between the Party of Regional Geological Survey, the Xinjiang Bureau of Geology and the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in 1974 and published by the Compiling Group of Regional Stratigraphical Scale of the Xinjiang Uygur Zizhiqu in 1981, with no type section locality indicated.
Synonym: (基夫克组); Jifuke Fm
Lithology and Thickness
The Jebki Fm, over 200 m in thickness, is dominated by gray and grayish black thin-to-medium-bedded limestone, with massive limestone at the base.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Neither the lower nor the upper boundaries are clarified so far. Regionally, the next younger unit is the Kurul Fm of late-Middle Silurian.
Upper contact
Neither the lower nor the upper boundaries are clarified so far. Regionally, the next older unit is the Nilkahe Fm of early Silurian.
Regional extent
The exposures of the formation are confined in southern part of Bolokenu Mt.

Fossils
It bears rich corals Palaeofavosites, Mesofavosites, Syringopora, Halysites, Catenipora, Favosites, Heliolites, Microplasma, Zelophyllum, Yassia, Palaeophyllum siluriense, Amplexoides, Crassilasma, Kyphophyllum, Strembodes, and brachiopod Pentamerus and Eospirifer.
